Education Longitudinal Study of 2002 (ELS:2002)

ELS:2002/06 Data Analysis System (DAS)

The ELS:2002/06 Data Analysis System, or DAS, is an online tool for analyzing the ELS:2002/06 base year to second follow-up data. First the user must select the weights and variables needed for the analysis and then run the analysis. The resulting analyses are returned as a formatted page that can be printed off or saved.

The DAS can be used to create tables or to run regressions, including correlations, logistic regressions, and weighted least squares regression. See The DAS help pages for more instructions. Users can also save their analysis specifications (as .TPF files), modify them offline, and run them online at a later time.

To get started with the ELS DAS, do the following:

  1. Select one of the two options below. Click "Create Tables" if you want to run tables of estimates or "Estimate Covariance Analyses" if you want to run regressions.
  2. Carefully read the survey information for ELS:2002/06 including information about Weights and Cohort Flags.
  3. Click "All survey years" to access the application.
