The Miller Center of Public Affairs at the University

The Papers
of Abraham Lincoln
The Papers of Abraham Lincoln is a long-term project dedicated
to identifying, imaging, and publishing, both comprehensively
in electronic form and selectively in printed volumes,
all documents written by or to Abraham Lincoln during
his entire lifetime. The Papers of Abraham Lincoln is
sponsored by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency
and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum,
and co-sponsored by the Center for State Policy and Leadership,
the University of Illinois at Springfield, and the Abraham
Lincoln Association. This site presents scanned images
of the five known drafts of the Gettysburg
Address and a selection of newly
discovered documents related to Lincoln. It also
contains the Lincoln
Log, a chronology of Abraham Lincoln's life that
can be browsed or searched by date. In addition, an
extensive
bibliography
on Lincoln's life is provided on this site.
