Silent Trauma: Diabetes, Health Status, and the Refugee - Southeast Asians in the United States

Silent Trauma

The National Diabetes Education Program’s (NDEP) monograph, "Silent Trauma: Diabetes, Health Status, and the Refugee Experience Among Southeast Asians in the United States" was developed to shed light on the unique chronic health conditions and issues related to access to and quality of health care among Southeast Asians. With a better understanding of these challenges and opportunities, public health administrators and policymakers can improve diabetes education and outreach to these communities and work toward implementing better health care systems to improve health care access and quality.
