Photographs by Douglas Jones are included in the LOOK Magazine collection. These photographs may not be used for "advertising or trade purposes," and other restrictions may apply.

Access: Permitted; subject to P&P policy on serving originals.

Reproduction (photocopying, hand-held camera copying, photoduplication and other forms of copying allowed by "fair use"): Hand-held camera copying is not permitted; all other forms of copying are permitted subject to P&P policy on copying.

Publication and other forms of distribution: Restricted. The donor of the LOOK collection, Cowles Communications, Inc., has expressed its desire that photographs in the collection not be used for "advertising or trade purposes." The Library cannot provide further interpretation of this phrase. Privacy and publicity rights may also apply. In addition, images by individual photographers may be protected by copyright. The Library recommends that patrons obtain permission from the creator agency, the photographer or the photographer's heirs before publishing or otherwise distributing images from the collection, except as allowed under "fair use." According to an obituary in the June 30, 1987 issue of Variety, Douglas Jones died in Newport Beach, California. He was survived by three daughters, but the obituary does not name them, and the Library has no information on how to contact them.
