EPA submitted their 2006 - 2011 Strategic Plan to Congress on September 29, 2006. The revised Strategic Plan maintains the five goals that were described in the 2003 - 2008 Strategic Plan, but reflects a sharpened focus on achieving more measurable environmental results. The five goals are Clean Air and Global Climate Change, Clean and Safe Water, Land Preservation and Restoration, Healthy Communities and Ecosystems, and Compliance and Environmental Stewardship
