How The Cooperative Acquisitions Program Works
Title availability: An annual list of serials is
prepared by the Rio Office and mailed to the
participants in June or July.
Subscriptions are supplied on an annual, calendar year
basis.
Costs: The list provides the annual subscription cost estimate for
each title. Added to the cost estimate for each subscription is an administrative
charge for overhead costs and postage fees. Shipping charges are also
assessed and include military APO charges for the international portion
of the transportation costs and U.S. Postal Service fees for the domestic
portion of the costs.
Shipments are made on a weekly basis from Rio,
by air, to the continental U.S. and international
destinations.
