GREENSBURG, Kan. -- National energy experts, local, state and federal government agencies, trade associations and non-profit organizations are joining forces to help residents in Greensburg and Kiowa County create an affordable, healthier and a more efficient town as well as become a model community for the state of Kansas.

A Design Workshop with architects, engineers and planners will be hosted by the Long Term Community Recovery team (LTCR) Tuesday and Wednesday in Greensburg under the red and white tent in Davis Park. The public is invited to stop by daily and share their ideas or give feedback on the designs. The event will be held at Barclay College in Haviland if weather is inclement.

The Design Workshop is a preface to the Rebuilding Fair that will be held Thursday through Saturday at Barclay College in Haviland. The three-day event is hosted by more than 20 agencies, associations or non-profit organizations and is free to the public.

From 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday, booths in the Barclay Student Center will showcase various "green" products and technologies while lectures and breakout sessions are conducted nearby.
