Joint Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDA) Completed In Florida, Tennessee And Kentucky

Atlanta, GA -- Joint federal, state and local damage assessment teams have completed their surveys in Tennessee and Kentucky which were hit with severe storms and flooding on August 4, and the Florida panhandle which was affected by Tropical Storm Barry on August 6.

In Tennessee, Cocke, Greene and Washington counties were surveyed. There is currently no state request for a Presidential disaster declaration.

In Kentucky, Floyd Hamlin, Knott, Letcher, Perry and Pike counties were surveyed. There is currently no state request for a Presidential disaster declaration.

In Florida, the effects of Barry were surveyed in Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gulf, Holmes, Leon, Liberty, Okaloosa, Walton and Washington counties. Florida has only requested a Presidential declaration for individual assistance in Martin County so far.
