Summary: This Microsoft PowerPoint presents a timeline of interagency efforts in Minnesota to identify children’s mental health needs. In 1999-2000, a strategic plan for infant mental health was developed. In 2002, the Minnesota Children’s Mental Health Task Force set priorities for a public system with emphasis on early identification and early effective intervention. Based on Task Force recommendations, in 2003, legislature mandates screening in child welfare and juvenile justice systems. In 2004 the Minnesota Head Start Association Summer Institute recommended the Ages & Stages Questionnaires: Social-Emotional (ASQ-SE). Managed care incentives and a reimbursement policy were developed in 2006-2007.
