Mary, everyone- You can use ArcGIS (or another GIS program) to calculate bounding boxes - i.e., add 4 fields to the attribute table (Xmin, Xmax, Ymin, Ymax) and use the Field Calculator to calculate the values. (The Field Calculator works through all the features in the data set in one step, unless you have selected some features, in which case it only calculates values for the selected set.) Someone created a free set of tools called EasyCalculator to do this - it's quite easy to use. See support.esri.com or http://www.ian-ko.com/ for details. Hope this helps. ************************************** Angela Lee ESRI Education Programs 880 Blue Gentian Rd, Suite 200 St Paul, MN 55121-1596 651-994-0823 [log in to unmask] www.esri.com/libraries ________________________________ From: Subject Coordinates Discussion List [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of SUBCOOR automatic digest system Sent: Wednesday, February 01, 2006 11:00 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: SUBCOOR Digest - 30 Jan 2006 to 1 Feb 2006 (#2006-5) Skip repetitive navigational links L-Soft - Home of the LISTSERV mailing list manager <http://www.lsoft.com> LISTSERV(R) 14.4<http://LISTSERV.LOC.GOV/archives/images/ls2-version.gif> SUBCOOR Digest - 30 Jan 2006 to 1 Feb 2006 (#2006-5) Table of contents: * County Decimal Coordinates 1.
