1/ Final allocations are based on U.S. Census Bureau's population estimates as of July 1, 1999.
2/ The Consolidated Appropriations Act increased the Discretionary Fund by $817,328,000 in FY 2001.
3/ The FY 2001 Appropriation set-aside $1,000,000 for a toll-free child care hotline to be operated by Child Care Aware and specified that the amount come out of the $19.1 million earmark for resource and referral and school-age child care activities.
4/ The final FY 2001 Appropriation increased the earmark for Infant and Toddler Quality Improvement to $100,000,000.
5/ Totals are the sum of Mandatory, Discretionary and the Federal share of the Matching Funds. The State share of the Matching Fund was based on FY 2001 FMAP rates.
