Self-Study STD Module: Vaginitis

The Self-Study STD Module – Vaginitis is a web-based self-study course designed to guide clinicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of vaginitis. This module is based on the STD curriculum developed by the National Network of STD/HIV Prevention Training Centers and includes recommendations from the 2002 CDC STD Treatment Guidelines. The module provides an overview of vaginitis, including common causes, diagnosis, and evaluation. The diagnosis and management of trichomoniasis, candidiasis, and bacterial vaginosis are covered in detail.
Lessons include epidemiology, pathogenesis and microbiology, clinical manifestations and sequelae, diagnostic methods, patient management/treatment, patient counseling and education, and partner management/public health measures. The module also contains interactive study questions and a case study.
