Self-Study STD Module: Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)

The Self-Study STD ModulePelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) is a web-based self-study course designed to guide clinicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of PID. This module is based on the STD curriculum developed by the National Network of STD/HIV Prevention Training Centers and includes recommendations from the 2002 CDC STD Treatment Guidelines.

Lessons include epidemiology, pathogenesis and microbiology, clinical manifestations and sequelae, diagnostic methods, patient management/treatment, patient counseling and education, and partner management/public health measures. The module also contains interactive study questions and a case study.

• Nurse practitioners
