Self-Study STD Module: Genital Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV)

The Self-Study STD Module – Genital Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) Infection is a web-based self-study course designed to guide clinicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of genital HSV infection. This module is based on the STD curriculum developed by the National Network of STD/HIV Prevention Training Centers and includes recommendations from the 2002 CDC STD Treatment Guidelines.
Lessons include epidemiology, pathogenesis and microbiology, clinical manifestations and sequelae, diagnostic methods, patient management/treatment, patient counseling and education, and partner management/public health measures. The module also contains interactive study questions and a case study.
