Self-Study Modules on Tuberculosis: Modules 6-9

The Self-Study Modules on Tuberculosis, 6-9 is a course that provides specific TB programmatic information for health care staff who work on the frontlines of TB prevention and control. The course consists of four modules on the following topics: Contact Investigations; Confidentiality in Tuberculosis Control; Tuberculosis Surveillance and Case Management in Hospitals and Institutions; and Patient Adherence to Tuberculosis Treatment.

TARGET AUDIENCE: The target audience for this course is health care workers such as outreach workers, nurses, physicians, administrators, and students from a variety of settings, including: TB programs, managed care organizations, homeless shelters, migrant clinics, substance abuse facilities, nursing and medical schools, and other facilities serving persons with or at risk for TB. MATERIALS: The participant can access the materials at CDC/DTBE’s website http://www.cdc.gov/nchstp/tb/ or at http://www2.cdc.gov/phtn/tbmodules/Default.htm. Print-based version of these materials can also be ordered on the CDC/DTBE website.
