Neato Mosquito: Interactive Lessons on CD-ROM

"Neato Mosquito" is designed to teach 4th grade students about mosquito biology and prevention of LaCrosse encephalitis. Available on CD-ROM, the program uses animation, video images, interactive games, and student projects to enhance student/teacher access to information about mosquitos and LaCrosse encephalitis. The CD-ROM also includes a Curriculum Guide and QuickTime video "Life-Cycle of the Treehole Mosquito," as well as full versions of the QuickTime player and Adobe Acrobat Reader. The Curriculum Guide contains five lessons; a vocabulary list; mosquito math problems; top 10 mosquito fun facts; crossword puzzles; a description of all slides; and 24 color images to be used in the lessons.
