The Survey Orientation course provides a general overview of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) dietary data, the NHANES website, the structure and contents of NHANES dietary data, resources and tools for conducting dietary analyses, and the NHANES survey design and weighting principles.

TARGET AUDIENCE: This course is targeted to a portion of the NHANES data users community, particularly those that are interested in or already analyzing NHANES dietary data. This includes: statisticians, dietitians, epidemiologists, and public health researchers.

MATERIALS: Web browser with Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in installed and connected to the internet. Adobe Flash plug-in and speakers recommended, but not required.
