Laboratory Biosecurity: Build Security into Good Laboratory Practices (CD-Rom)

This purpose of training entitled, ''Laboratory Biosecurity: Build Security into Good Laboratory Practices'' is to provide key principles of securing biological agents in research and biomedical facilities where loss, theft, release, or intentional misuse of the agent might have significant public health or economic consequences. This training defines the term biosecurity, delineates differences and similarities between biosafety and biosecurity, and discuss various components of a laboratory biosecurity program. TARGET AUDIENCE: The target audience for this training course includes laboratory biosafety and biosecurity officers, laboratory directors, and other laboratorians in academic, government, and commercial laboratories. Others who are likely to benefit from this training include community, hospital, and other clinical laboratory directors, safety and security officers, and laboratorians.
