Recent natural disasters, acts of bioterrorism, emerging diseases and the threat of pandemic influenza make is more clear than ever that we should all be prepared for any type of emergency.
Though some people feel it is impossible to be prepared for unexpected events, the truth is that taking preparedness actions helps people deal with disasters of all sorts much more effectively when they do occur.

Pandemic Influenza:
Pandemic influenza is a worldwide outbreak of disease that occurs when a new influenza virus appears in humans, causes serious illness and then spreads easily from person to person worldwide. Three major influenza pandemics swept the globe in the 20th century causing millions of deaths, and no one knows for sure when the next pandemic may strike.
