Starting a Business: Tuesday, January 6, 2009, 9:00am-12:00pm
Come learn the basics of starting a business including how and where to file for a business license and tax ID number, the basics of business financing, methods for building a business network, the importance of customer service and much more. Cost: $20
Business Financing: Thursday, January 8, 2009, 12pm-1pm
This workshop provides an overview of SBA Community Express Loans as well as general information about business financing and getting positioned for a small business loan. Cost: Free
Starting A Business II: Thursday, January 22, 9am-12pm
This session takes Starting a Business I to the next level. Learn more about specfic business entity options and get your questions answered by an Attorney who will be on site. See demonstrated how easy it is to register your business with various organizations as well how to update your state and federal tax information. This workshop is offered once a month, and is strongly suggested for the Business Planning Series. Cost: $20
Business Planning: Tuesdays, January 20-February 24, 2009, 6:30pm-9pm
This 6-session class is designed to help guide participants through the process of writing a business plan. Topics include the importance of planning, market research, pricing, financial projections, taxes and recordkeeping, business entities, and insurance. There will be time in class for writing and getting feedback on your plan. Cost: $100
Financial Freedom: Mondays, January 26-March 2, 2009, 6pm-9pm
This 6-session class enables you to explore your personal and business goals as they directly relate to your finances. Session topics include money management, banking basics, credit/credit repair, debt reduction, bankruptcy, insurance, investments and home ownership.
