Actually, I have both spliced cassettes and relocated the tape into undamaged shells! It is possible, but challenging. I used reel-to-reel splicing tape, cut to fit the 1/8" width and tapered per a r2r spice when "installed." It was simpler than trying to untangle the chaos left when an automobile tape player decided to "eat" a favourite tape! Steven C. Barr
