Clark, The "flaw on the rationale" that I was referring to, was that the last 3-6 feet of AC wiring would have a bigger impact then the rest of the "building wiring." It was there in my original post... If you're going to SNIP my comments and then criticize my response ("rationale, what rationale"), then we'll have a difficult time exchanging ideas here... _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ Rob Poretti Sales Engineer - Archiving Cube-Tec North America Vox.905.827.0741 Fax.905.901.9996 Cel.905-510.6785 _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ -----Original Message----- From: Association for Recorded Sound Discussion List [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Clark Johnsen Sent: October 17, 2008 3:03 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [ARSCLIST] Aren't recordings original sources? Anyway, who's the guy who gets to decide if a device is "properly designed"? In other words, who elected *him*? > > <SNIP> > > Working for years in high-end mastering, I've seen the $1000+ "superior > cable" claim made more than once. Besides, "rationale" is a pejorative and argumentative choice of word. Why can't we just speak plainly and without resort to disparagement? One possible example that I couldn't disagree with: "I have never heard an expensive power cord, and I have tried five of them, that did anything for me or for my system's sound." See, that's substantive. clark > > > Cheers Richard! > > Rob > > > _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ > Rob Poretti > Sales Engineer - Archiving > Cube-Tec North America > Vox.905.827.0741 > Fax.905.901.9996 > Cel.905-510.6785 > > _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ >
