All Music Guide has just published a piece about James Brown's roots and forward influences written, of all people, myself. Nonetheless, a lot of this comes directly from my lifelong studies of the Cincinnati recording industry. I invite the interested to come check it out - it involved a lot of work and I'm quite proud of it. You can try this direct link, which may not work: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=&sql=61::71DP Or just go to the main page www.allmusic.com and look up "The Whole Note" box in the center of the page. Ironically, after tomorrow I will be in the Classical Corner also, with my interview with French Canadian Baroque Music specialist Suzie LeBlanc. Go figure. David N. Lewis Assistant Classical Editor, All Music Guide "Music expresses what one cannot say, but about which one cannot remain silent." - Victor Hugo
