The Bencher VP400 copystand polarizers have no problem with the four 500W bulbs. It does get hot. And you can see your electric service meter spin faster (frown). The Bencher polarizer panels are about 6 inches away from the light sources, so the heat isn't a problem for them, nor for the vinyl disc on the platform.
