Mike Gray ----- Original Message ----- From: "Howard Friedman" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 10:26 AM Subject: Re: [ARSCLIST] The Discographical Puzzle George, I refer you to the following web site http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/factual/gramophones_grooves.shtml Under Program Five! There seems little doubt that the conductor of the Trocadero orchestra at that time was Jacques. Moreover, in conversation, "Jacques" could easily be confused with "George" on a phonetic basis. It wouldn't be the first time. Creighton's Discopedia runs about $250 right now, new or used! Cheers, Howard
