I'm planning a trip to Java in late May or early June - a week in Bandung and another traveling around the island to Cianjur, Solo and Jakarta - for the purpose of gathering 78 rpm discs of tembang Sunda (made by HMV and Odeon, mostly between 1927 and 1932). But I'm also looking for any LPs, 45s or 78s of dangdut, kroncong, Javanese rock and gamalan, Sundanese or Javanese. I'm in touch with a number of specialists and academics, but given the intensity and short time-span of this trip (a one-in-a-lifetime journey as I see it), I'd be profoundly grateful for contacts with any other dealers or individuals who could lead me to more recordings. Anyone with any recorings of these kinds should please also be in touch with me for a project I'm planning for release in about a year. many bests, Ian
