If you go to www.needledoctor.com and click on "78 speed tables" you will see a very large selection, arranged by price. The Thorens TD 190 ($575) is probably a good buy (comes with Ortofon cart), but apparently has no variable speed control. I was surprised to see that Stanton is again making a turntable, targeting the DJ market, the ST-150 ($499), which allows speed adjustment up to 50%! The choices are many.
