For the most part, I use Adobe Audition 1.5. It provides most of the functions I need, especially the spectrum vs time display, which helps me correct a multitude of problem. The "marquee" feature is a Godsend when it come to making brief corrections, and it's indispensable for fixing the bass in acoustical recordings (would you believe response down to, and even below, 40 Hz?).
