The National Digital Information Infrastructure and Preservation Program (NDIIPP) has launched a new version of its Web site at www.digitalpreservation.gov.

NDIIPP is a nationwide program, led by the Library of Congress, to collect and preserve digital materials, especially "born digital" materials—those created in and available only in electronic form.
The program is envisioned as a distributed network of participating institutions that agree to collect and preserve specific types of digital information. NDIIPP began in 2000 with congressional legislation.
The new look and feel of the site is designed to complement the recently updated main home page of the Library of Congress (www.loc.gov) and other sites, such as American Memory (http://memory.loc.gov). The new NDIIPP site also provides for easier navigation.
