Hunting Opportunities

The Lower Snake River Fish and Wildlife Compensation Plan was designed by the Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, to address losses to fish and wildlife habitat and animal numbers incurred by the construction of the four Lower Snake River dams and lakes. The lands listed here were acquired and developed in cooperation with the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to largely compensate for habitat that was inundated by the waters of the lakes. The lands located adjacent to the Snake and Columbia Rivers are managed by the Corps of Engineers, and additional information and maps may be obtained from the Operations Division Wildlife Biologist at albert.f.sutlick@usace.army.mil. Lands separated from the Snake and Columbia Rivers are generally operated by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, and additional information and maps may be obtained at teamspokane@dfw.wa.gov. The table following the map contains general information about all the numbered sites on the map. Please observe all restrictions and safety precautions, follow all Washington State fish and wildlife regulations, and treat the lands as you would treat your own.
