Description: A full text selection of Dante's works in Italian and English, along with multimedia resources, biographies and lectures. Contains the full text of the Divina Commedia edited by Giorgio Petrocchi and published by Mondadori (Milan, Italy, 1966-67; 2nd ed., Florence, Le Lettere, 1994). The English translation of the Inferno is a new translation by Robert Hollander and Jean Hollander. The English translation of Purgatorio and Paradiso is from the Sinclair edition published by Oxford, 1939 and 1946, and is used with permission. The language has been modernized and some other changes were also made to the original translation by Lauren Seem and Robert Hollander in order to reflect the Petrocchi edition of 1966-1967. Includes keyword searching capability and bibliographical references.
