Long Beach, W.A., January 10, 2002 -- Major General Frank Scoggins, Assistant Adjutant General for the State of Washington addressed over 100 emergency managers, scientists, local officials and interested citizens during Long Beach Washington's certification as a "TsunamiReady" community, on 10 January 2002. Also present were FEMA Regional Mitigation Division Director Carl Cook, FEMA Regional Earthquake Program Manager Chris Jonientz-Trisler, NWS Meteorologist Steve Todd, Pacific County Emergency Management Director Sheriff John Didion and Long Beach Mayor Dale Jacobsen.
