EAGLE PASS, Texas -- As Texans begin to repair and rebuild their homes and businesses, damaged by April's destructive storms and tornadoes, they can get free advice from the experts on how to rebuild stronger and safer.

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) mitigation specialists will be at building supply stores in Eagle Pass to talk with homeowners, businesses owners and contractors on how to reduce future property damages when disasters strike. Experts will also set up an information table with important mitigation materials and tips written in both English and Spanish.

Mitigation information is helpful to everyone, not just the victims of the April severe storms and tornadoes. A specialist from FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program will also be on hand to talk with residents and answer questions concerning flood insurance.
