FEMA/State Announce Thanksgiving Schedule For Toll-free Registration Line And Disaster Recovery Centers

Corpus Christi, TX -- Federal and state officials announced today the Thanksgiving holiday schedule for hours of operation for the Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) toll-free registration and helpline number.

The DRCs at: 3908 B Leopard St., in Corpus Christi; St. Andrews Church Hall, 1350 North 23 rd St., Beaumont; and 17507 Imperial Drive in Houston will remain open until noon on Wednesday, November 27 and be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Normal hours will resume on Friday, November 29 (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon. - Sat., and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays).

Those affected by the tornadoes, severe storms and flooding that began on October 24 and continued until November 15, can call the FEMA registration and helpline (1-800-621 FEMA) until 2 p.m. (central time) on Wednesday, November 27. The registration line will not be available on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, but the normal operational schedule will resume on Friday, November 29 from 8 a. m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week.
