NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State of Louisiana announced that all Disaster Recovery Centers will be closing early this Saturday, and on May 6, due to the 37 th annual New Orleans Jazz Fest.
All DRCs, including Lake Charles, will close at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29 and Saturday, May 6.

FEMA manages federal response and recovery efforts following any national incident. FEMA also initiates mitigation activities, works with state and local emergency managers, and manages the National Flood Insurance Program. FEMA became part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on March 1, 2003
