JACKSON, TENN. - A mobile disaster recovery center will make a one-day visit to Rutherford Friday to provide information and assistance to residents who have applied for state and federal disaster aid.

The mobile unit will be staffed by disaster specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Help will be available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the fire department, 120 W. Main St.

Applicants with uninsured losses will be able to check the status of their requests with FEMA, get answers to questions, learn what kind of assistance is available and determine their eligibility for low-interest SBA loans for homes and businesses.
