PROCESS FOR REQUESTING A MANUFACTURED HOME
- The applicant calls 1-800-621-FEMA to register, requesting a manufactured home at that time.
- If you have already registered but did not request a manufactured home, please call again.
- FEMA contacts the applicant and conducts qualification interview.
- Once approved for use of a manufactured home, FEMA requests a site visit to determine if a unit can be safely placed on the property.
- FEMA requests delivery of the manufactured home; this includes obtaining all appropriate permits.
- The manufactured home is delivered and utilities are connected.
- A safety inspection is conducted on the manufactured home.
- FEMA conducts a “lease in” with the recipient, including a walk-through.
TIMELINE OF FIRST MANUFACTURED HOME FOR WILDFIRE RECOVERY
03/20/06 – Manufactured home was requested by the applicant.
03/22/06 – FEMA conducts interview with the applicant.
03/23/06 – FEMA announces availability of the manufactured home.
03/27/06 – Site inspected.
03/30 /06 – Delivery of manufactured home requested by FEMA.
04/10/06 – Manufactured home delivered. (ESTIMATED)
04/13/06 – FEMA conducts “lease in” with applicant. (ESTIMATED)
