The objective of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) Program is to provide assistance to States, local governments, and selected Non-Profit organizations to alleviate suffering and hardship resulting from major disasters or emergencies declared by the President.

Individual Assistance
The objective of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Individual Assistance (IA) mission of the Recovery Division is to ensure that individuals and families that have been affected by disasters have access to the full range of FEMA programs in a timely manner.
