Baton Rouge, LA -- Following the pounding Tropical Storm Isidore and Hurricane Lili hammered on Southern Louisiana, State and federal recovery assistance totals surged past the quarter billion dollar mark.

Summaries compiled by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Louisiana Office of Emergency Preparedness (LOEP) reflect funds committed to help Louisiana residents recover from the storms:

The following is a snapshot of the numbers: (through COB- January 1, 2003)

Tomorrow, Jan. 3 is the last day for residents to apply for assistance from Isidore and Lili. Tropical Storm Isidore made landfall near Grand Isle in Jefferson parish on Sept. 26, 2002. Lili came ashore just one week later on Oct. 3 near Marsh Island in Iberia Parish resulting in a Presidential disaster declaration that included 44 parishes, 39 for IA, all for PA.
