CRWRC Will Conduct July Assessment to Aid Unmet Needs

EAGLE PASS, Texas -- During the month of July, volunteers from the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) plan to conduct a long-term needs assessment for victims of the recent storms and flooding in Maverick County.
Upon completion, the information will be given to the Eagle Pass Interfaith Long Term Recovery Committee and the Maverick County Community Organizations Responding to Emergencies for appropriate action including making assignments to case managers who will work with those who have unmet needs. The committees are part of a disaster recovery process that prevents duplication of benefits.
CRWRC is a relief, development and education ministry of the Christian Reformed Church in North America that partners with local agencies that understand local needs.
Together CRWRC and its partners are finding ways to provide lasting change for people in more than 30 countries around the world, according to an organization spokesperson.
FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
