WASHINGTON, D.C. -- North Dakota state officials report significant flooding has occurred along the Red River from Grand Forks north to Pembina on the Canadian border. Walsh County, reports 38 miles of roads are underwater and areas outside of Minot are experiencing flooding as a result of recent heavy snowfalls.

Another problem spot is Devil's Lake, located about 90 miles west of Grand Forks. The lake has no drainage and is prone to flooding. The National Weather Service forecasts the lake will rise an additional two and one-half feet this year through early July, possibly setting record flood levels.
