Severe Weather Possible Today

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Weather Service (NWS) reports as storm system moving out of Arizona this morning has the potential to produce severe weather for portions of the Southern Plains and Texas through the day today.

By the late afternoon hours, NWS forecasters expect the area at greatest risk for severe weather will be Central Texas. The potential exists for supercell development, including possible tornadoes and large hail.
