WASHINGTON, D.C. -- FEMA's Annual Performance Plan for FY 2001 outlines how the agency's strategic goals and objectives will be pursued during the upcoming fiscal year. The plan is in support of FEMA's revised Strategic Plan, "Partnership for a Safer Future", initially published on September 30, 1997. Its publication fulfills the requirements of the Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 (the Results Act).
The performance plan illustrates how FEMA will execute the agency's mission to: Reduce the loss of life and property and protect our institutions from natural and technological hazards by leading and supporting the nation in a comprehensive, risk-based emergency management program of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
