Wise, VA -- The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Hurley, serving residents of Buchanan County, is changing its hours of operation. Beginning Friday, June 7 the new hours for the center will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The center is located at the Hurley Middle School on State Route 643. Officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other government agencies are on hand to provide information about disaster assistance programs and to answer questions from flood victims.

Victims of the late April and early May storms and floods can register for disaster assistance using FEMA's registration number, 1-800-621-3362 or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for the speech- or hearing-impaired. Both numbers are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
