FEMA Director Allbaugh To Tour Arizona And Colorado Wildfires

Washington, D.C.-- Departing on Monday evening, June 24, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Director Joe M. Allbaugh will tour areas of Arizona being ravaged by wildfires. Director Allbaugh's visit to the state is at the specific request of President Bush who expressed his deep concern for the safety and welfare of the many families that are in the path of these firestorms.

Director Allbaugh plans to visit Show Low, Arizona, on Tuesday, June 25. Although no media events are scheduled at this time, interested Arizona media can contact Michael Widomski at (202) 646-4600. Information on media availability will be forwarded to the press as soon as it becomes available.

In addition to his travels to Arizona, Director Allbaugh will tour areas of Colorado on Wednesday, June 26. In Colorado, the director plans to stop near Durango to tour areas impacted by the Missionary Ridge fire.
