SANTA FE, N.M. -- The following is a weekly summary of ongoing efforts of the Cerro Grande Fire Assistance Program administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA):

Five Customer Service Centers have assisted 9,750 individuals and businesses. They are located at the following sites from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Saturdays:

Finally, the Office of the Cerro Grande Fire Claims administrative office has announced the formation of a new position - an ombudsman - to serve as an advocate for dissatisfied claimants. Four highly skilled ombudsman personnel have been named:

- Dorothy Hamory (505-424-5970, cell phone

Alamos, White Rock and related areas; and
- Bill Lehman (505-661-2310, or 505-661-3121), will serve as ombudsman for the business community in Los Alamos and White Rock.
