Cerro Grande information is now available to the public by newsletter and e-mail. These new means of communications will be available to residents this coming week, according to Donald Erbach, director of the Office of Cerro Grande Fire Claims.

Erbach stated, "I am happy to announce that we have created a new periodic newsletter, "Horizons," covering a wide variety of specific topics that will be helpful to claimants.

In addition, Erbach said "Horizons" will be available at the service centers, pueblos, local public libraries and chambers of commerce.

The director said that, besides the newly-established e-mail address: cerrograndenewsletter@fema.gov, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) website at http://www.fema.gov/cerrogrande is also available.

"Information concerning any aspect of the claims process," he said, may be obtained through the toll-free Cerro Grande Fire Assistance line at 1-888-748-1853."

Representatives at any of the five local Customer Service Centers are available for discussions with the public, as well as assisting their individual Notice of Loss claim forms, Erbach added.
