Little Rock, AR -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Helpline days of operation have changed to Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to Joe D. Bray, FEMA Federal Coordinating Officer.
The Helpline is available for people who have applied for assistance from FEMA due to damage from the December ice storms. The Helpline number is 800-525-0321. Speech- and hearing-impaired individuals should call 800-462-7585 for information.
The Helpline can assist in numerous areas for Arkansas ice-storm applicants, such as:
- Checking on the status of their application;
- Referring inspection problems to a program specialist;
- Updating information about the applicant such as a phone number; and
- Referring people with special needs to organizations that are able to assist them.
