FEMA To Begin New Teleregistration Hours March 10

Olympia, WA -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will change the hours in which telephone claims to repair damage caused by the February 28 Nisqually Earthquake in Washington can be filed.

Beginning Saturday, March 10 the hours of operation will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST, seven days a week. Current hours are 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Residents and businesses who sustained uninsured losses in the affected counties may begin the application process for federal disaster aid by calling FEMA's toll-free phone number at 1-800-462-9029. Hearing or speech-impaired persons may call TTY 1-800-462-7585.
