Biography of Frank Pinter

Frank Pinter holds a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Towson University and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Baltimore School of Business. He has over twenty years of experience in the disabilities field, from vocational evaluation to directing disabled student services in post-secondary education. In his current position and since 1992, he directs MCIL, a private, non-profit grant funded agency comprised primarily of people with disabilities that advocates for persons with all types of disabilities to live independently in the community. Mr. Pinter is the current President of the Greater Baltimore Community Housing Resource Board, is a commissioner, executive committee member and housing committee chair of the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities and serves on the board of directors of the Maryland Disabilities Forum. He is a member of the Coalition for Civil Rights for Persons with Disabilities and is awaiting confirmation for Gubernatorial appointment to the Maryland Statewide Independent Living Council. He also is a member of the State’s Olmstead Housing Task Force and is a member of the Accessible/Affordable Housing for Individuals with Disabilities Sub-committee of the Governor’s Committee for Housing.
